We also realize how difficult it is to change your travel plans when you look forward to it. Because we face uncertainty surrounding coronavirus in many aspects of our lives, know that your safety and comfort in traveling with Cal Discoveries remains our number one priority. We continue to work with our tour operators as news changes to keep you updated.
2020 Reservations Available
When each trip approaches, the tour operator will contact travelers who have been confirmed directly via email with any status updates. If your trip must be delayed or canceled, the operator will give you options for the next steps. The choice you choose is a personal decision. It is important to remember that Cal Discoveries Travel is not responsible for trips that are delayed or canceled by our vendors; all travel payments are processed by each vendor directly, and vendor-specific travel and cancellation policies still apply.
Extended Cancellation Window
In some cases, our tour operators and their suppliers have relaxed the cancellation window and final payment for travel in 2020. Please refer to the latest email from your provider for details.
Apply a Travel Voucher
In most cases, our tour operator will offer a travel voucher to be redeemed at a later date. They do not offer cash refunds, but will issue refunds in the form of travel vouchers. We encourage you to take advantage of vouchers and want you to join us on one of the sponsored tours in 2021. Please note that vouchers must be redeemed with the same tour operator used in your initial booking.

If you are interested in traveling with a tour operator that you don’t see listed below, please email us ([email protected]) and we can work to offer unlisted trips.
Travel Insurance Questions
If you buy travel insurance, be sure to contact your provider as soon as possible to handle any changes that might need to be made. For policies with USI, there is a customer service team available Monday – Friday, 9am to 7pm. Eastern time. Please call 800,937.1387 or email [email protected] for help. Due to high call and email volumes, please wait longer than average. If the telephone line is busy, you are advised to send your questions via email.

In response to the latest instructions about COVID-19, the Cal Alumni Association physical office was temporarily closed to protect the health of our employees, alumni, students and the community.
