Couple have been was arrested near the Dean’s Forest at great Britain after police found human remains in two suitcases, police said Thursday.

A community member called the police about a vehicle not long after 10:30 at night. Tuesday is based on “how to drive,” according to Gloucestershire Police.

After police found the vehicle, they found a woman in her 20s from Birmingham and a man in her 30s from Wolverhampton, England, a city north of Birmingham. Police said they carried two suitcases that were reported to contain human remains.

The couple were arrested and have been detained since late Tuesday night, police said.

The Gloucestershire officer was given a 36-hour judge extension to continue to be allowed to question the couple.

Investigation officials believe there is only one victim, a woman whose identity has not been released due to ongoing forensic examinations.

“The nature of this incident is sad and we work all the time to fully understand what has happened,” Senior Investigation Officer John Turner the word. “A person’s life has been lost and our priority is to identify the victim and get an answer for his family.”

“Our Main Crimes Investigation Team is working with the West Midlands Police assassination team to carry out further [inquiries], “Turner added.

According to the local media outlet Gloustershire Live, the A4136 main road between Forest Dean and Wales remained closed as police continued the investigation.

“A search has taken place in the surrounding area for the collection of evidence and, contrary to media reports, nothing was found as part of this search,” Turner said.
