NEW YORK: The United Nations on Saturday hailed Pakistan’s initiative to open Kartarpur Hall; a border hall between Pakistan and India, connecting the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan, ARY Information reported.
Taking to the social networking web site, Twitter, a UN spokesperson stated that the visa-free border crossing facility for Sikh pilgrims from India will pave means for interfaith concord.
He stated that the initiative linked two key Sikh pilgrimage websites in India and Pakistan.

Earlier within the day, Prime Minister Imran Khan had inaugurated the Kartarpur Hall; a border hall between Pakistan and India, connecting the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahib and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.
Addressing the ceremony, the premier had termed the hall a present for the Sikh neighborhood around the globe -as they’ll now attain their holy place inside no time- whereas including that love and tolerance are the 2 traits that might deliver lasting change within the sub-continent and around the globe.
