Lakeland — nearly 30 nursing centers in Polk County have now recorded at least one case COVID-19 among the residents or employees.
In the daily report published on Thursday by the Department of health of Florida lists 29 local nursing home or assisted living facility infection among residents or employees. And 12 objects have been recorded multiple cases COVID-19.
Lake highland in Lakeland has experienced the largest outbreak, with 81 residents and 29 staff tests positive as Wednesday. All of these residents were transferred from the institution, the state reported, and 25 died, to date the largest amount for any facility of the County of Polk and eighth in height for installation in Florida.
Hills center Lakeland were 38 residents test positive, all of which were transferred to other places. Another room with a lot of positive cases among residents of Astoria health and rehabilitation center in winter haven, Brandywyne Health center in winter haven, Consulate health care of Lakeland Consulate health care of winter haven, grace manor at lake Morton, palm garden, winter haven, gardens, lake Alfred and winter haven health and rehabilitation center.
The state report showed that 17 residents of grace manor at lake Morton was transferred after a positive test result for COVID-19. The Florida Agency for health administration published last month about the blocking of the center from accepting new patients after inspection found that staff do not follow the guidelines.
Astoria rehabilitation center health reported eight residents with COVID-19 and another eight that were transferred. Consulate health care of Lakeland had nine positive and 12 transferred.
Seven residents of palm garden of winter haven were taken elsewhere for treatment after testing positive. Gardens of lake Alfred reported three people infected and a further three transferred.
Lake Center Highlands is one of seven sites in Polk County for at least one resident’s death. The rest Brandywyne (eight), Consulate Lakeland and the hills of Lakeland (seven), grace manor at lake Morton (six), palm garden of winter haven (five) and winter haven health and rehabilitation center (two).
Of the 102 deaths of residents of the regiment so far attributed to COVID-19, 67 associated with elder care facilities.
Thirteen regiment of objects recorded multiple infections among employees. In addition to highlands lake center, they include spring lake rehabilitation center in winter haven (12), Consulate healthcare and Lakeland-winter haven health and rehabilitation center (five), gardens, lake Alfred and lake Wales (four) and Astoria health (three).
Center Oakbridge health care in Lakeland is one of several selected by the Department of health to transfers of residents who have a positive result. The object was 55 patients like Wednesday. One staff member was diagnosed COVID-19.
