An angry California man tried to wipe the floor with his own mother – when he accused her of piling up toilet paper in the middle of a coronavirus lock and slamming her face, police said.
Adrian Yan, 26, was arrested on battery charges after a dirty commotion on Monday at his home in the city of Saugus, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Shirley Miller.
“Apparently family disruption has started over a fight over toilet paper,” Miller told The Post. “[Yan’s mother] said that he hid it because he used too much. “
Yan was allegedly very angry, he punched his mother’s 40s in the face, but he later refused medical treatment.
Santa Clarita Valley Station deputies have seen an uptick recently in reports of domestic disruptions during home stay directives related to the California pandemic, Miller said.
“Tensions are mounting in many households,” he said.
Yan stayed home with her mother and other relatives, Miller said. It is not clear how many.
Deputy tweeted about that incident Tuesday night.
“Family distraction calls can start from small things, and then increase,” wrote department officials.
