OSHA: Employers cannot fire employees who report unsafe working conditions. | Business| Instant News

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Employers cannot retaliate against workers who report unsafe work conditions.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) says employers cannot fire, demote, reject promotions or overtime or reduce wages because an employee reports unsafe conditions.

This announcement came because many workers had raised concerns during the novel coronavirus pandemic about issues such as social distance or employers that made them physically start working.

Any worker who thinks that their employer is replying they can contact OSHA to file a complaint.
