Terming the Kartarpur Hall talks between Pakistan and India as ‘excellent news’, the US Division of State stated it was extremely supportive of something that will increase people-to-people ties between the 2 neighbours.
Addressing a press briefing, US State Division Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus stated that the US inspired the talks between Pakistan and India on constructing the Kartarpur Hall for Sikh pilgrims.
“We encourage it. Something that will increase people-to-people ties between India and Pakistan is one thing that we’re extremely supportive of,” the spokesperson added.
The current talks between the 2 nuclear nations passed off on July 14 at Wagah border. Overseas Workplace Spokesman Mohammad Faisal stated there was a constructive growth in talks relating to the hall.
The hall is being constructed to commemorate the 550th beginning anniversary of Guru Nanak. The hall will give Indian Sikhs visa-free entry to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur in Pakistan.
